What is Point Nemo?
In real life, Point Nemo is a superhero story I hope to write someday about the "background characters" in a world of superheroes.
In universe, Point Nemo (fictional ISO code "PO") is an island that was created at the Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility many years ago during a fight with a supervillain. A group of heroes decided to set up a government on it and it quickly became the heart of the superhero world. It's home to many labs for advanced technology development, hospitals specializing in treating mutants or non-humans, and bases for various heroes and hero teams.
It’s also home to the small and generally unknown RELIC museum of superhero memorabilia. This is the center of our story, and the place of work for a normal non-superpowered woman named Cameron. We follow her as she uncovers the secrets of her classmates and coworkers while figuring out her place in the world. Her and her new friends go on various adventures as they learn what the hero world is truly like and try to fix all their mental health problems.

Acacia is a PHD candidate and technopath who takes pride in her work. She aims to revolutionize holograms into being more than just intangible projections. Her current project (with a built-in field tester) is her girlfriend Hingwan's super suit and motorcycle. Aiding in her endeavors are her technopathic powers that allow her to manipulate, modify, and fabricate mechanical materials. She has total faith in her inventions, but that doesn’t stop her from worrying about Hingwan when she’s in the field.

As the daughter of a world famous hero, Aika inherited two things from her mother: a distrust for hero society and superpowers. She can send her consciousness up to 6 months back in time, but this takes an immense mental toll. Because of this, and the stress her mother’s superhero work caused her, she’s decided to swear off hero work. Aika constantly struggles with this decision however, always thinking about all she could prevent by going back in time despite the pain it would cause her. She channels these feelings into her music, which is the subject of her studies at Point Nemo University.

Alec was created as an evil clone meant to destroy Earth, but instead he was taken in by a nice, normal couple and raised like any other kid. The only connection he has to his genetic source is his fish-like appearance and water powers, which don't stand out much on Point Nemo. Now an adult, he's a shy man that throughly believes in being kind to others and cannot tolerate injustice. So much so that he's become a hacktivist and regularly takes down corporations acting illegally and immorally. But, when people start labeling him a "villain" for his hacktivism, he cant help but wonder if he truly can escape his destiny.

Cam is a huge superhero fan with an adventurous spirit that frequently gets the best of her. She's always wanted to be a superhero, and who hasn't? But she’s never gotten a chance at it. She doesn't let this stop her, however, and has moved to Point Nemo to attend university, majoring in hero studies. Cam wants to find her way into the “bigger picture” of the world and is convinced that getting involved in super heroics is the only way to do this. So far though, all she’s managed to do is figure out the identity of one of the most elusive superhero in the world. No biggie.
Hingwan

Hingwan is a passionate superhero fan who moved to the Island of Point Nemo in hopes of becoming one herself. Although she lacks powers, she's been training for years and has a knack for quick thinking and leadership. Now, with the help of her technopathic girlfriend Acacia, she's developed a super suit and high-tech motorcycle that allow her to pursue her dream of helping people and leading a superhero team. She takes issue with the non-rehabilitative mindset some heroes have and thinks that helping people includes even those who’ve done wrong.

Rose was a teenaged superhero who saved the world and lost her girlfriend in the process. To make matters worse, after the battle her team lost their powers and the ability to contact each other. Suddenly cut off from her friends and forced back into civilian life, Rose became very depressed. She moved to Point Nemo as an adult in a last ditch effort to find her former friends, but came up empty. She paradoxically sees her hero days as her peak accomplishment that she will never be able to top, and yet she holds a deep resentment towards the hero establishment that didn't stop her from fighting as a child.
William

Age: 22 Nationality: UK-SC Birthday: 12 June
William, Will, or "Wiz," is a highly dedicated self-taught tech wizard. Literally. Using the internet for a crash course on scripts and spells, William intends to combine the two one day, starting with his AAC device. He is extremely confident in his abilities and has planed out every step of the way to this goal. He's also a bit of a prankster though, and maybe comes off as a bit too cocky. He's a good friend however, and helps out with the coding of Hingwan's hero suit.
